About
The Association was established in the year of 2005 with the name of Battery Island Drive Homeowners Association. It was later changed to Battery Island Drive Neighborhood Association in the year of 2008.
The community was granted their status of a charitable organization (501c3) in March of 2010.
Jerry Lee Richardson served the community as president from 2005 – 2007. Before the association was started, he took leadership in assisting the community with getting access to public water in the year of 1996.
Giovanni Richardson served the community as president from 2013 – 2015.
Augustus (Kelly) Richardson served the community as president from 2016 – 2019. Under his leadership in the year 2012 the community gained access to the JISPD sewer system that provide each home with its own inground pump that lead to the main sewage line. He was also instrumental in helping the neighborhood put in place the community sign “WELCOME TO BEEFIELD COMMUNITY”.
George Richardson became the president in the year of 2019 to present. Under his leadership, the welcome sign was relocated for better view to all who come to visit us. NO PARKING- TOWING ENFORCED, and CRIME WATCH” signs have also been put in place throughout the neighborhood. Through his leadership, the work is still going on increasingly well and at a fast pace. We are now in the process of becoming an Historical Community.
